Each year we invite artists worldwide to participate in our annual Life of Christ Spring Salon. Currently our salon is mostly virtual, with plans to have it on display in person at Grant Avenue Methodist in the future. Our salon will always accept one piece from every artist.
For 2022, our second year, we will be awarding $500.00 in cash prizes for the following: $250 Best of Show, $150 First Place, $100 Award of Merit. The originals of these winners will be asked to be sent to Grant Avenue Methodist where they will be available for sale April through July.
In addition, from each Life of Christ Salon, we request permission to print seven selected works that will be on display alongside our Bible Art Tour held in the Fall. In the future we hope to exhibit the originals. With this approach, we have artwork testifying of our Savior next to historical paintings from our tour that synergize to bring people closer to Christ.
2022 Life of Christ Salon Information:
Accepted Artwork:
Paintings and Drawings of any medium (Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Charcoal, etc.)
Realistic to Impressionistic styles, with some type of representative element.
Artwork must include Jesus in some form of his ministry.
Artwork must be 30 X 30 inches or comparable or smaller.
Artwork must have been created from 2019 or sooner.
Further Information and Deadlines:
An image of the artwork must be received by 12:00 PM March 21st.
The image of artwork must be sent to thereligiousacademy@gmail.com,
Attn:: Life of Christ Salon. Title, medium, and price must be attached.
The artist must allow The Religious Academies LLC rights to use images for promotion.
Artwork will be available for purchase from April 2022–August 2022 on www.thereligiousacademy.org.
Any artwork that sells through the show will give 10% commission to The Religious Academies LLC.
Winning originals to be displayed at The Religious Academy will be notified March 23rd.
Seven selected artworks to tour on the Bible Art Tour will be notified March 23rd.
